We teamed up with Readmill, a social ebook reading platform, upon their debut of PDF support in their app. With Readmill, Hacker Monthly readers can discuss, highlight, recommend and share their favorite passages with other readers.

To give everyone a taste of what it’s like, we’ve made the latest issue free (for a limited period of time), with a convenient “Send to Readmill” button to your Readmill library. Give it a try!

Few weeks ago, couple of our readers (thanks Robin and Thomas!) told us they wanted the Kindle Direct Delivery feature to send PDF instead of the usual MOBI format. I was puzzled, since it would be too small to read the PDF on Kindle.
Turns out, they (like a lot of readers too, I later found out) use the Kindle app on their tablet. Now that makes perfect sense.
So we quietly rolled out that feature last week. Now you can go to your Subscriber Area to activate it.

And you’ll see the latest issue of Hacker Monthly (in iPad-optimized PDF format) automagically appear on your tablet every month.
Hacker Monthly in Newsstand
We’ve also partnered up with Kiurma to come up with Hacker Monthly in the Newsstand. The app will go live in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more updates!
